All players must enroll in USA Lacrosse and have an active membership number before registering with our Youth/Middle School Katy Lady Cavaliers team. This is an insurance that is required to be obtained by the player/parent in order to participate.

Head Coach - Tim Brown

I have been coaching youth and high school sports (including football, basketball, baseball and lacrosse, both boys and girls programs) for 18 years now. It has been part of my mission in life and has been a great pleasure to invest my life and coach for two reasons: One, the love of the sport and to teach others to love sports and the life lessons they can teach you. And secondly to have a positive impact on over 1,000 young people in the communities where I have lived.

I believe in a positive coaching philosophy and my teams have had a great deal of success both on and off the field. I grew up playing sports and had the good fortune to play football and run track at college division II level before transferring to Penn State where I played club lacrosse. I have been around the sport of lacrosse for the past 10 years as a parent (all 7 of my children have played!), a sponsor and a coach.

Assistant Head Coach - Ellen Kowal

Lacrosse is in my blood! I'm from Baltimore, MD and have played lacrosse for 16 years (RECC, JV, Varsity, Division III collegiate, and post collegiate). My high school team (Mt. Hebron HS) won 15 of 16 state championships from 1991-2007 and held the national record for consecutive wins, 107, while I was there. I went on to play Division III college lacrosse at St. Mary's College of Maryland and graduated in 2005. My team went to the NCAA tournament 3 out of 4 years I was there. I've always played midfield/defense and earned the honor of First Team All Capital Athletic Conference for Defense my senior year while playing with fractured shins. I continued to play post-collegiate lacrosse until I had my son in 2011. I have 2 years experience as an assistant coach to middle school girls, have also been on staff at multiple lacrosse camps and clinics in Maryland and Texas (2nd grade-high school), and have 7 years experience as an assistant coach with this program.

Outside of lacrosse, I am certified in Early Childhood/Elementary Education (Pre K-6) and have my Masters in Educational Technology. I'm currently teaching Kindergarten in KISD and this will be my 14th year teaching! I have now lived in Texas for 10 years! I'm married and have a husband who works for AIG Travel and is a LTC in the Army Reserves. We have a 5th grade boy, a 2nd grade girl, and two cats,

High School Team

Our 9th-12th grade student athletes focus on elevated play and master the nuances of the game of lacrosse. We expect 100% commitment to practices and tournaments for team play. Our high school Katy Lady Cavaliers work together to uphold the tradition of district champions and state qualifiers!

First practice for HS begins on Saturday, October 5th at 10:00am at Cross Creek Fields.
